The camera button crashes the app. Make sure the app has Camera permission — go to Settings → Arrowmate → Camera and turn it on.
The time stamp camera is black. iPad can't share the camera while another app is on screen (Split View or Slide Over). Close the other app, or open Arrowmate on its own, and tap the screen to start the preview. If it still won't start, the app offers the normal camera instead.
How do I add my logo? Tap Your logo on the main screen (Pro). Pick the corner, the size and the transparency. It goes on every photo you save or share, time stamp photos included.
How do I change the toolbar? Tap Toolbar on the main screen (Pro). Drag the handle on the right of a tool to move it, and use the eye to hide one.
How do I change the text in a PDF? Open the PDF, tap Edit PDF in the toolbar, tap the line, then tap Edit text. Drag a line to move it. Pull the dot to resize it. Tap Delete to remove it.
Why can't I change the text on this page? A scanned page is a picture of text, so there is no text to change. You can still add your own text and mark it up. Locked PDFs can be marked up and saved, but their own text can't be changed.
How do I sign a PDF? Open the PDF and tap Sign in the toolbar. The first time, draw your signature and tap Save. After that, tap the line you need to sign and it drops in. Drag it to move it. Pull the dot to resize it.
How do I save only some pages? Tap the share icon (top right). Pick Only this page, or Choose pages and type the pages you want, like 1-3, 5.
How do I save part of a page as a picture? Tap Snapshot in the toolbar and drag a box over the part you want.
How do I save the PDF? Tap the share icon (top right), then Save or share as a PDF. Pick Save to Files to keep it, or send it straight from there.
I can't find my marked-up photo. Tap the share icon (top right) and choose Save image, or use View full size and long-press the image to save it to Photos.
How do I switch trade setups? Tap ••• in the editor → Trade, or use the "Set up for" row on the main screen.
How do I share a custom trade setup with my crew? In the custom editor, tap Share as file or Copy code. Your crew can import it on their device.
Privacy Policy
Arrowmate does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:
Photos and PDFs you take or choose stay on your device. Arrowmate never uploads them anywhere.
There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.
Custom trade setups are saved only on your own device (or your iCloud, if you choose to share files that way — that's between you and Apple, not Arrowmate).
Arrowmate doesn't use the internet at all, except when you choose to share or save a photo — that's handled by your device's own Share Sheet, exactly as it works for any other app — and the two cases below.
Time stamp camera. The time stamp camera uses your device's camera inside the app. Photos you take with it are stamped and saved to your own Photos library (on iOS the app only has permission to add photos, not to read them). Nothing is uploaded. The camera is only on while that screen is open.
Location on time stamps. When you open the time stamp camera or tap the Timestamp tool, Arrowmate asks your device for your current location and looks up the nearest street address. In the iOS app this uses Apple's location and geocoding services; in the browser version it uses the browser's location and OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service. The address is printed on your photo and nothing is stored or sent anywhere else. Location is never accessed unless you use one of those features, and you can decline the permission.
Your logo. A business logo you add is stored only on your own device and drawn onto your photos there.
Your signature. A signature you draw is stored only on your own device and placed on your pages there. It is never uploaded. You can remove it at any time from the Sign tool.
PDFs. A PDF you open is read, edited and saved on your own device. It is never uploaded. The PDF tools are built into the app, so nothing is downloaded when you open one.
Website mailing list. If you enter your email on arrowmate.com.au to hear about updates, it's stored by Netlify (the site host) and used only to send you Arrowmate news. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask for it to be deleted at any time via the support address above.
Pro licence (browser version). If you buy Arrowmate Pro for the web version, the purchase is handled by Gumroad, who are the seller and hold your payment details — Arrowmate never sees them. Your licence key is stored in your own browser and sent to Gumroad only to check that it's still valid.
No data is sold or shared with anyone, because none is collected in the first place.
If this ever changes in a future update, this page will be updated before that update ships.
